Snowy wander

I had to make a deadline to bring in some paintings for a local show. Today's weather was pretty iffy with snowflakes really blanketing downtown.  I decided to brave it and the sloppy slushy sidewalks and use transit.  Everyone was making an effort to keep their sidewalks clean and there were lots of notices up for slippery walks into and out of the skytrain and Canada line.  I was so happy that I did venture out as I was able to get some great images of the trees in Thornton park and up near Vancouver City hall.  Vancouver is known for February  snowfalls, but not often am I out in it!

the paintings are now at  3256 Cambie St. And they will be hanging on the walls for a couple of months for their clients to enjoy at the Cambie Massage Therapy clinic.

now it's time to put everything together for the ?North Shore Art Crawl on March 7 &8.  Starting to draw out my ideas for bookmarks as I will be demonstrating and having a workstation for people to try their hand at painting a bookmark.

in the meantime, all my classes are well under way at West Vancouver Community Center. The intermediate class is full and the beginner's class keeps growing! Lots of fun!

my latest colour favourites are Phthalo blue (Green shade), Permanent rose and a Hansa yellow light.  However, I keep changing my mind about the red primary - so many great colours to try - especially quinacridones like coral and magenta and rose....and the testing and trying continues!
