Out with the old and in with the New! Happy 2018! A different beginning to the year for me, busy catching up on paper work. All good, as I have been able to update information about my upcoming class with the West Vancouver Community Center. All my social media sites have information about the link to westvancouverrec.ca and class #36662.
I have begun thinking of more things I want to paint as well as wanting to finish up on some paintings that I have in the works.
I will be getting back to writing my blog about my time on the high seas. I had some very lovely emails from some of more former students with many wishes for the holiday season. It really brought back some wonderful memories!
I was on facebook the other night and Rick Steves was mentioned. He has a blog that lists the 50 best places to have a beer. The location that he was pictured in is a little bar on the outside of the wall in Dubrovnik. Buze Bar. I was lucky enough to visit the place back in 2016 and watch with another ship guest, John, as many young people were jumping into the water from rocks nearby. The place is so tiny, there is a row at the front where there are just metal bars as the barrier and tiny tables and metal chairs and then the bar behind and a very small area to walk through. You make it down through an entrance in the surrounding wall and then down a few very narrow stone steps. It look out over the expanse of the Adriatic Sea. Perfect for quenching your thirst with a local beer.
There will be so many more wonderful memories now that 2018 has started! Happy Painting!
