Enjoy everyone! I know its been a hard two weeks since the elections and there is alot of rhetoric in the media, but if we can focus on art and the great things art can do - things will go a whole lot better.
I enjoyed watching the Macy's parade this morning and loved all the color of the balloons and beads being thrown everywhere!
This afternoon, we've been invited for dinner to our favorite restaurant in San Antonio, Jalisco by the owner Lupita. Her restaurant "Panino" has a great Turkey dinner with all the fixings and we have enjoyed many years of friendship with her and her husband. Unfortunately, Jim won't be with us this year as he passed on, but we will be thinking of him!
Much to be thankful for! I have an upcoming demonstration of my watercolor techniques at Galeria Sol Mexicana next week on December 1st and 2nd as well as organizing the PAINT OUT AJIJIC for December 3rd. I am working on my series in Papel Picada and enjoying all the vibrant colours and whimsical effects.
I am also getting some art ready to go to La Manzanilla as part of a Group Show at Chantli Mare Inn by the Sea which will run from December to January.
So enjoy my first in a series of feista scenes. The one attached is a study of the Ajijic Plaza and is 10 x 14" unframed. It will be on display during the demo and I hope to have a few more completed by then.
