Biography:

Vancouver born, I am inspired by the urban environment, and by the contrasting nature, water and mountains that are so close at hand.   Plein Air is one of my favorite activities.   Exploration of the medium of watercolour continuously surprises me and has me trying new ideas all the time.  Journaling, line and wash, florals, landscapes and abstracts make my journey in art ever expanding.

I instruct classes through the West Vancouver Community Center, at sea on various cruiseships and give demonstrations by request.

I have taken direction and workshops in watercolour painting from artists Alfonso Tejada, Ratindra Das, Enda Bardell, Miguel Nunez Flores, Luis Eduardo Gonzalez Medina, as well as workshops in acrylic from Jan Poynter and Andrew McDermot, and oil/ value studies from Gaye Adams. I have also completed the Foundations Program through the Federation of Canadian Artists. My art works are held in Canada and internationally.
